Discover Chinese Acrylic Painting with KA Atelier workshop...
Why we like it...This introductory and condensed workshop provides a glimpse of traditional Chinese ink painting, which often takes years to master, and is fused with Western modes of expression and use of acrylic paints to give students a basic understanding and appreciation of both forms and styles.
Trained in Chinese Painting since young in HK at the studio of renowned Chinese painter Shum Wing Kong, KA's artistic journey in both Chinese and Western painting spans across a decade. Influenced by far ranging travels and experiences of living in Europe and Asia, she has been melding Chinese Painting aesthetics and philosophies with Western modes of expression and incorporates these elements in all of the workshops she guides. She is also the Founder and Creative Director of Art Hope, an art charity project established in 2010 devoted to creating art for a good cause. Every 2 years, a series of art work, inspired by Art Hope's mission are created by KA and in collaboration with other creative individuals with the aim to raise money for charities that support schools and kids in China and SE Asia. See www.arthope.net for more details.
